Sonic riders is a fun game. The controls are some what hard to get use too but it gives you the option to use a gamecube controler also so that makes it easier. The story is interesting and fun to play. You can unlock more boards as you collect coins and win missions. the only thing wrong were a couple times it would throw me out of the map or not respond to an action i did. Other than that i thought it was a fun and entertaining game to play
When I first popped this game in today, I was extremely disappointed to see that this game used the exact same control scheme as Excite Truck (the worst racing game ever): You see-saw the controller with the buttons facing up instead of actually steering. The race I played in this scheme was less-than-appealing. But I was relieved to find out that you could switch to the GameCube controller scheme. When I used this control scheme, the game played much better. MY EXTREMELY IMPORTANT ADVICE TO NEWCOMING GAMERS: USE THE GAMECUBE CONTROL SCHEME. Anyways, back to the rest of the game. When I switched to the GameCube controller, all my dreams came true: Amazing graphics, awesome midair tricks and super-speed ups that were... um... awesome. This game is immensely fun, although sometimes the constantly crashing into things can get annoying. And no for the story mode. The introduction is, as with most sega games, ah... okay, I can't think of another word: amazing. I didn't think that Sega'd make sonic, Knuckles, and Tails talk, but they went there! Yeah they did! However, as with most Sega games (modern sega games), the first mission is almost impossible to get past, but I made it eventually. Great game, Sega! Keep it up!
