Debug Mode in Sonic 1

At the title screen when Sonic is wagging his finger, press Up-C-Down-C-Left-C-Right. Press Start and then hold A until Sonic appears. There should be hex code where your score should be, and the time should have nothing to do with your elapsed act time.

Press B while playing to switch into debug placement mode. Then, press A to switch between sprites or C to place the sprite. Then, press B again to go back to playing as Sonic. Repeat.

Round Select in Sonic Spinball

Go to Options and press Square, down, X, down, Circle, down, Square, X, up, Square, Circle, up, X, Circle, and up. After this, hold down the Square button and press Start on the title screen to play from Round 2. Simultaneously press X and Start to play from Round 3. Finally, simultaneously press Square and Start to play from Round 4.

LEVEL SELECT:
Go to options, then go to sound test. Play 19, 65, 09, 17. After you hit 17 you should hear a ring sound. After that press start, hold square. As soon as the menu shows up, keep holding square and press start on one player.

SUPER SONIC:
Do the level select code. Then while in the level select menu, go to sound test, and play 04, 01, 02, and 06. As soon as you hit 06, you will hear the jingle for chaos emeralds. Now just pick a level, collect 50 rings and jump.

Level Select:
During the time it takes for Sonic to load in the beginning, press 'up, up, down, down, up, up, up, up' on the D-Pad. (Note: This is hard to do, but you'll get it right eventually.) If you did this correctly, you can scroll down past the 'Competition' selection on the menu, and you will get an "Options" menu.
Debug Mode:
On the 'level select screen', go to any stage of your choice, hold down the button that is the 'A' button for the Sega Genesis, and press start.
