When the game starts the controls seem very clunky and can get frustrating just trying to turn a corner or do a trick, but once you start to play the game gets smoother and more fun. Once you get some experience with the game you will notice how surprisingly responsive fast paced this game gets. Although it is hard to get into, Sonic Free Riders is a surprisingly good launch title that is highly recommended to a Sonic fan, Sonic Riders fan, or even Mario Kart fans.

Allow me to slap ALL the haters in the face. All of them. I got the game today for Christmas and I have no idea what everyone is talking about. Everyone says oh the controls are clunky, they dont work, blah blah blah. Let me just tell you something. THE CONTROLS ARNT BROKEN, YOU DONT NEED TO GET USED TO THE CONTROLS. I played the game for about 1-2 hours and I beat 2 out of 4 of the stories. The only "broken controls". This game is great and I think anyone with a Kinect should at least give it a try.

i have read a lot of reviews about this game. they all say the controls are horrible, and you cant turn. when i started out i couldnt turn either but eventually you get used to it and you get better. most video games these days your either good at or your bad at. this is the first video game that you have to play it to get better i have ever played. people have been giving this game bad reviews because they flat out suck at it. if someone isnt good at something they usually end up not liking it.
