Ok I wont lie, this game was a blast to play. Many interesting levels and the graphics are amazing, but it does come with its down side. For one, Sonic was never meant for two players, and while I give Sega props for trying to pull it off, they utterly failed. It is nearly impossible to play through a single level without killing your Sonic double, and it is was too hard to keep track of who is who and where is what. Other than that, the game was pretty solid. I beat it in less than 4.5 hours, which was kinda disappointing for me because I was looking forward to a lengthy experience and a sense of accomplishment but oh well. The power-ups are interesting and almost all of them add depth to the game, and others are just plain annoying and dull. That being said, it does take a good amount of skill to clear this game, and some acts are so frustrating to get through, that you will be chucking your wii remote out of the window after 3 or 4 tries. The voice over actting wasn't bad at all, and Sonic's new voice is a good match and not to hard on the ears either. It was a smart move by Sega, to just limit the cast to Sonic and Tails (who by the way is not a playable character). Overall, this was a good game, but it was not without it's share of flaws. The verdict still stands however, if you are a die hard Sonic fan, or just looking for a game to kill some time, this is well worth checking out and I recommend it to all over the age of 9. Hope this review helps. Happy Gaming!

I believe this 3D Sonic entry is the best of its likeness to date. The rest, except for Sonic Adventure and Adventure 2, have failed to produce the speed and quality of the original 2D Sonic genesis titles, not to mention, Sonic CD as well. This new Sonic offers what I have wanted since Mario went into space in Galaxy. Sonic Colors inspires and triumphantly resolves its past mistakes with a digital paintbrush of super sonic speed and creative level design that transends the atypical model that was so previously copied and garbaged up with uninteresting characters. We like Sonic. That's it. We now have a game that has taken notice of the current technological advancements and design capabilities of the present.

An overall good Sonic game. The game-play was smooth with easy controls, fast stages, and very good transitions between 2D and 3D. Graphics were amazing for the Wii. The classic sonic plot was given a nice little twist which made the game even more enjoyable. Giving Sonic powers was an idea that worked very well and using them was needed. Short game to play through but there is a good bit of extra items to go back and collect. A good game for any player and a great game for Sonic fans.
