Sonic adventure 2 is a great Sonic game. There are many fun things to do in this game. There are Chao gardens, actions stages, and fun boss battles. It just a great game! If you're a Sonic fan you'll love this game!!!

Sonic adventure 2 battle for the gamecube was originally ported from the Sega Dreamcast system. They did a really good job with it,but it still has it's share of problems.Problems the Dreamcast version did not have.Also a couple tweaks here,and there were added to this version. Before I dive into the game's minor flaws, let me start off by saying this game is a classic 3D adventure.One of the last good 3D sonic games in my opinion. Though heroes,and Unleashed were sort of decent. The game has nice graphics for the the GC.But there are sometimes muddy textures,and blocky visuals,but the graphics are least important.The music for the game is excellent! I just love the soundtrack for this game! Thankfully,there is a jukebox where you can listen to the songs you've unlocked while playing.The voice acting I am afraid, is laughably bad! It was so bad I turned it to Japanese.Which was very top-notch of course.The story is pretty good,and the introduction of the new characters Rouge the bat,and Shadow the hedgehog were welcome indeed.The game's levels center around this world map instead of being consecutive levels like the older games.There are certain types of levels to play.which offers the game much variety.Sonic and Shadow's levels are the normal fast paced kind.Tail's,and Eggman's levels. are shoot em' up type levels,and the Knuckles',and Rouge's levels focus on treasure hunting.All are very fun to play.When you play through story mode you can find new upgrades for sonic,and co.Also the addition of Chao garden from the first is so much fun!Not to mention addictive,and cute! My only gripes about an otherwise,flawless game is that there are a few bugs to be found,and the camera sucks big time! Other than that It's a solid,fun, addicting sonic game! Best sonic game ever! Rent it now!....what am I saying I mean buy it now!

This game is so AMAZING. SEGA hit a hit a home run with this game. For some reason though they messed up later. Three great things made this game awsome. 1. Chao. Chao are cute and fun to evolve and play with. 2. Sonic and Shadow stages were awesome but Shadow only had 4 which sucks. 3. Super Transformation boss kicked BUTT!!

Get this game if u dont already. Don't just rent, BUY!!!!

I had a choice between this and sonic heroes i thought this was better because it had great levels great bosses and had less glitches

This game i think is the best game ive ever played in my life if you can beat the game on both stories and last story!Then the game rocks awsomely then i ask you this can you get more than 6 chao to evolve if you can......................then thats awsome.But can you find the phoenix in meteor herd?If you can then your pretty good at this game and you rock almost as good as me for i have found 30 in different visits to this level!

This is easily the greatest sonic game ever.
In it's time, the graphics were absolutely astonishing. The game play was top of the line, and multiplayer was also amazing for when the game came out. The story was very addicting and emotional.
This game overall deserves a 10/10.

Sega cut the garbage out of the new games, and base one off of this. This game is truly epic.

I had played and beat the game SONIC ADVENTURE 2 BATTLE. POSITIVE: this game is so AWSOME it makes you feel dizzy. The graphics are really good for the GAMECUBE. In this game its good versus evil, if you pick the hero side you get to play SONIC, TAILS, and KNUCKLES. If you pick dark side you get to play SHADOW, Dr. EGGMAN, and ROUGE. There are upgrades for each character that you play. There is also a two player mode on this game in which you can race or battle with your partner. There is also a CHAO GARDEN in which you can raise your chao in a garden and take them in contests. If you are a hero character and you are raising a chao then your chao will become a hero chao and if you are a dark character and you are raising a chao then your chao will become a dark chao. I really dont have anything negative to say about this game. This game is so COOOOOLLL!!!!!!

This game didn't seem fun when i looked at the cover. I was buying this game for my friend. Even the price didn't sound so good. $6.00-for a used game. Now, I know what it's like to play a TRUE sonic game.
This game will get anyone looking for a good sonic game. even the frustrating camera will still make the game... challenging. Yeah, challenging, that's it. The chao raising rocks too, and the 2-player mode-anyone will love.

I played this game for years.The game was really that good.The story line was amazing the action was incredible And the boses battles were out of this world!The 2 player mode was extremly fun.The best part of this game for me was the Chao Garden.Getting to care for all the Chao was alot of fun and also getting them move and animals was even more fun.The only thing.The one thing i did not like about this game was that the Chao die.Other then that i loved this game and i still do.

Flash back, when i was four i spend hours playing this on the dreamcast, awesome. The best game I played on GC. My friends bought a copy, they were obsessed with the chao. I say this was the best Sonic game, the final one that was amazing, some were good, great, but not like this. My only complaint is knuckles's and rouge's levels. I'm so glad that Shadow was added to the series. He's helped make a revolution of sonic's series. 9.25 of 10

ok i got this game when i was about 10 or so and it was sooo much fun, im 17 now and want to keep playing it cause with everything there is to do so lets break it down

Good- many charictars to play as
-fun VS modes for split screen players
-awsome choas (the cute lil things you can customize idk how to spell it)
- great story
- challenging races and boss fights
- the fun just dosent end if your a sonic fan!!

Bad- not enough multiplayer maps
- no online (but hey its an old game give it credit)
- a few glitches that will be MAJOR what the heck? moments
- not enough things you can do with the chos (did i spell it right now?)
- not knowing how to spell choas (i swear theres an e in it)

Ugly- compared to todays games like MW2 and Bioshock 2 theres not enough graphics for those HD ppl and no online (duh its for GC) but other then that its an amazing game which i might rent again for the awsomeness!!!

All and all i give it a 9/10

Outstanding game-play, it is very addicting how seamless(for a sonic game) the game is. There are many sweaty-hand moments in this game.
The story will really draws you in, especially since you get to play the various characters' views. You may also choose sides to play, the "Light" or "Dark" Story.
For recreation you also have the Chao Garden where you may raise multiple chaos, raise them, and have them compete in fun games.
The multi-player is great fun as well. Me and my friends play this for hours with the multiple modes to play.

I would have to say this may be one of the funnest Sonic games I have played(excluding the very first). This game should be required for any sonic fan,it is also great for anyone just wanting to have a blast.

This is a great game. I like how it challenges you in each stage. The little chao world is so cute. this is the best game so far.

I'm a fan of Sonic Games and was gald to see them on the Nintendo Console. But this game made me loose my mind. Sonic Adventure 2: Battle is an Amazing game full of suspense and entertainment. This is one of those games that you just keep coming back for.

Sonic Adventure 2 Battle has an advanced Chao system and which you can rise Chao's and then race them and fight them against other Chao's for prizes and emblems. Collecting emblems unlocks more items in the black market for Chao's and your game like themes, etc.

This is a must have game for all GC owners!

I've played some of the newer Sonic games and some of the older Sonic games, but nothing tops Sonic Adventure 2: Battle! This game has everything a Sonic fan could want and more! The level-up items are a must and chao world is a lot of fun! The story is well written and the game play is very good. No Sonic game will ever top this!

I had this game for at least 5 years and i have still gone back and forth playing this game. it is still so fun to go on your favorite level with your favorite characters. My favorite character is Shadow because he has the same levels as Sonic and he is just as cool. I decided one day to change the language into Japanese and Shadow sounded even cooler.(and Eggman sounded like a 10 year old.)An awesome game!!!!!!!!

Sonic Adventure 2: Battle is an amazingly good game, with it's in-depth storyline, good controls, well designed levels, and surprises around every corner, this game brings a little bit of everything, even to picky gamers.
The Chao Garden should be a game on it's own, it's so well programmed and full of surprises. Chao can hold coloration, stat, personality, and many other genes from their parents, so no two chao are quite the same. The time and work that you could put into this is not to be wasted; these chao can grow into over 1,000 different possibilities, easily! The Chao Garden is also directly linked with the game itself, as you can bring in animals and chaos drives to give the chao to upgrade their stats like swimming or flying. The more levels you have completed, the rarer the items you can buy for your chao gardens. As if this weren't enough, chao with a smooth shine, also known as jewel chao, are available through the GBA transfers, for the Sonic Advance games. You can get exclusive fruit from the GBA garden as well, plus two mini games not available on the GC.

In the actual story mode of the game, Sega was brave enough to give us two brand new characters, the mysterious and elusive Rouge the Bat, and the artificially created Shadow the Hedgehog. Top it all off with good graphics, a good learning curve, and something new to boost your game play every few levels, this game can't be beat!

As for the bad... Sometimes, the sound gets annoying or repetitive, or gathering rings to buy items in the chao garden can be frustrating. But this is a tiny price to pay for the rest of the game!

i would recomend this game to anyone who loves action and well. . . everything!!!

No doubt,Sonic is one of the coolest mascots around. And this title proves it! This game is crammed with so much stuff, it's amazing!! The game let's you play as Sonic,Shadow,Knuckles,Rou- ge,Tails,and Eggman. Sonic and his rival Shadow focus on high speed and offer the funnest gameplay IMO!
Knuckles and his opponent Rouge search giant levels for Emerald shards, using hints and a radar.
And lastly, Tails and the evil Doctor himself, Eggman shoot all the way to the end.
The amount of variety is awesome and it never gets old! Heck you can even raise little creatures called Chao in your spare time. And the 2p modes are just icing on the cake! If you want a great single player and multiplayer game then look no further! :D

I rented the game hoping for better graphics. but boy was I put down. the game has a good story and the cool choice of a bad story are a good story. but the griphics made eggmans head move up and down and not his mouth. but lukily that was the only flaw to the griphcs. alli have to say is if you want a good story.good ideas,and eggman look like a studit docter than this game is for you.

This game was fun and all, but you get tired of it after you beat it. What is really fun is Chao world. You can make almost an unlimited amount of Chao! But it is like the chao and the game are two separate games. One more criticism, you grow too attached to the chao and then they die or reincarnate and you have to start raising it all over again! The graphics are good, but can be better with picking stuff up and all. Emblems? Gosh, those take too long to get!!! By the time you beat the game you have ten or something, and you need 180 to technically beat the game. So as I was saying, the chao are so fun and so cute too! But dont throw them or else they will hate you. People on youtube go insane about the chao, as for the game 0! Just rent it and see for yourself. I highly suggest it!

well story mode is pretty fun but the graphics arent great plus the bosses so easy it basically tells you how to defeat each boss and ttheyre almost no chalenge but sonic can use magic hands shrinking an enemy and putting him in a bubble to throw at other enemies its awesome plus multi player mode is the best racing your friends shooting your friends fighting your friends chao karate and chao race with your friends and race in personalized cars.also you can go play with the chaos thhey can race and do karate and if your chao gains enough expirience in stuff like swiming flying walking and power it could turn into a devil or angel chao and if they keep getting expirience you get a super cool looking level 2 angel or devil chao bbut you can only achieve this by sending them to school giving them tons of stuff and entering races and karate tournaments.and if you get chao animals and power sticks theyll look more like that animal and gain lots of expirience plus you can hatch more in different colors also if you have a pumpkin half egg shell from hatching a new chao or a big apple or even a box and even other stuff .withall this theyll become devil and angel chao and be better at karate and races plus when they become angels youget hero world and for devils you get villain world. but back to the game you can be hros or vilains and at the end you team up and when fighting the final boss you switch between super sonic and emerald shadow golden colored super hedge hogs in space

The first time i saw this game, my friends uncle was playing it, and i was a small child, (a small gamer child). The racing and music is intense, and when you want to feel like a parent, just drop by the chao garden and raise some children of your own, You begin with a regular garden and eventually unlock the he (double hockey sticks if you will) garden and the heaven garden to take your good and bad chaos to. Your chaos transform into a type of character, knuckles, sonic, ect. if that person holds them alot. Abuse your chao to make them a hellspawn and care for them to make an angel. "Underwold" since i can't say the other word... garden freaks me out because there is a pool of blood the kids swim in. One feature i like is transferring your chaos into your gameboy yay! awesome! You can even take your "children" to school and race and fight against other chaos. Well now lets get back on track. Graphics aren't bad at all, destroying things is fun thought its all the same, you can complete the story line on good or bad sides. Unlocking new features and moves will be challenging because all of them are masterfully hidden. The game is a must play and i reccommend it to all sonic fans.
