Sonics Ultimate Genesis Collection

Considering this is the "ultimate" collection of Genesis games, there are not that many good titles included. Sadly there are a few really horrible games here. Some of the games were favorites of mine back in the day, which is the only reason I gave this title a 7. If you had a Genesis, then you may enjoy this compilation. If not then I recommend you stay away from this.

The Bliss of the early 90s

OK, maybe this game is more tailored to people around my age, those in their early 20s. But I'll be damned if I said I didn't love this collection. And for under $30? It's an absolute must have for anyone who lived through the SNES vs. Genesis years. Some of the most beloved Sega games, from Sonic 1 through S&K, the Streets of Rage series, Shining Force 1 and 2, plus something like 35 others, will make you pine for the days when you were 10 years old waiting for the Sega Channel to download Comix Zone.

My only complaint is that Sonic 2 and 3 can't be "attached" to Sonic and Knuckles. Not a huge loss, but I always loved pulling out my old Genesis and playing through Sonic 3 + Knuckles and getting super duper Sonic. Otherwise, an incredible collection for a price that's an absolute steal, some minor touch-ups for HD gaming (don't stretch to 16:9, just keep the borders for 4:3) and a nice extra section with 9 arcade games, seriously, why aren't you playing already? This is for us, the children of the 80s/early 90s.
