I was pleased with the collection overall. Streets of Rage and Golden Axe were just as awesome as they were 15 years ago. Comix Zone was a lot harder then I remembered it to be.

It was easy to switch to different games. Some of the trophies were rather hard to get. You can rate your favorite games easily with your controller which made for less seeking once you had everything setup.

I thought the game collection was solid. There is a good bit of Sonic and plenty of side scrolling fighters like Streets of Rage and Golden Axe. Some games might be a bit horrid than what you remembered. Altered Beast comes to mind. :)

I hope we see a second collection. I'd really like to see Dune 2, Haunting and maybe some Sega CD games.

Overall, if you played any of these games I think you'd enjoy this collection. You might find some to be harder then what you remembered or really awful (Altered Beast, I'm looking at you).

I was pretty excited about this game, the concept of it is great. Being able to play old classics on the ps3 like you can on the Wii is a solid idea. The game is set up well in that you can sort the games alphabetically, by year, genre or by rating. It's nice being able to save the game at any point. They even threw in a little history museum with original cover art and interesting facts. Unfortunately, the games they chose to include don't really deserve the "Ultimate" title. Don't expect to play all the games you loved in the past, because you'll be sorely disappointed. No "Toe Jam and Earl", "NBA Jam", or "Flashback"? No old "Madden"s or "Mortal Kombat"s? "Tecmo Bowl" even? How about "Road Rash?" The list could go on and on and everyone's would be different, but some of the games they did include are terrible and I've never heard of them. But, I do realize it could have been unavoidable, maybe legal issues? It can't just be a not enough money for the license thing, you cant tell me Toe Jam is too busy working on other projects right now, or that Earl was holding out for a larger salary. Still pretty fun playing some Sonic, but I would've given this game a 7 or higher with just a couple more quality classics to play so it would have greater replay value.
