When I first saw this game I didn't think that I would like it. But since I got it free through Xbox live I thought oh why not if I don't like it I can delete it.
It's surprisingly a good fun game with a great story line and descent graphics. There is of course the main missions that take you thought the story line but there are also a lot of side missions that are fun to play too.(And make money) There are several different ways to upgrade your character (Wei Shen) from fighting to buying different clothes to helping out your friends.
All in all it's a cheap fun game to play. If your wanting a game that's fun to play and not too hard to complete this one is perfect.
Average open world experience nothing bad nothing good. Think of a GTA game but set in a more realistic world and in HK this is it. First I will say having lived in SE Asia and having been to HK enough this is dead accurate on the voice acting and what you will hear on the streets. I had to LOL at some of the background talk because i was like dude i know that guy I talked to him in real life. Same with some of the general HK/"Asia" life/ environment. That being said its a GTA sandbox type game with less emphasis on gun and more on martial arts which is very accurate too something else I know from experience. Spinning back kicks, spinning hook kicks etc very accurate. As for the story ( something you will see though my reviews) it is pretty good. There are a few random things like huh but is whatever. The story does flow well and reads like a old kung fu/ HK martial arts movie. Again nothing special here but this nothing broken. Nothing that will this is awesome and a must play but it is definitely a great game to fill the space and time. In reality there are only a few great games a year which are just about 100-200 hours or (5/10 20hr games) a excellent gameplay a year. This is the kind of game that fills those other times. if you are waiting or whatever else worth a play through.
