This game would have been at least an 8.5 or 9 to me if it just completely eliminated the "free roam"/"open world" aspect of the game. The story was engaging, the fighting was good, the chase scenes (on foot) were action packed. BUT WOW was the driving bad..... I absolutely could not stand driving to missions, and I really hated the car chase scenes, where ramming a car off the road is just a button press. If I could have spent less time in between missions, and just been forced to play the story missions then I would have been a lot happier.
I would recommend this game for renting, but do yourself a favor and just consistently do story missions, ignore the clothing vendors, energy drink stores, tea shops, drug busts, citizen missions. They suck.
First time I have ever felt that a game's "open-worldness" was it's downfall.
