Sleeping Dogs is worth your time

The Sleeping Dogs' plot, graphics, cinematography, and gameplay are very good. It is reminiscent of the Grand Theft Auto series in terms of it being an open world sandbox game that requires missions to be completed in order to make progress (along with optional side events). However, the unique/creative combat mechanics (where the game truly shines in my opinion), and police detective work (i.e. drug busts, camera hacking, planting bugs, etc.) of this game distinguishes itself enough from GTA. The only negative with the game was the lack of spending options with the large amounts of money you earn throughout the game; the main big spending is on vehicles and clothing. More useful things to buy (but at a much cheaper price) were food/drinks to temporarily boost your stats or a taxi cab to take you to a far away destination instantaneously at a fixed rate regardless of distance. Overall though, it was an enjoyable game to play and I recommend it to anyone who likes RPGs, sandbox games, and fighting.
