so i went to Game Stop to buy this game. While i was in the car i was thinking not to buy the game and buy something else. But i was like what the heck I'll get it. I also went to best buy to get a usb drive for my Xbox 360 console. I configured the port and put in skate. when i got the menu where it says to press start i waited to watch the video that they made to entertain u. when i saw it the game looked awesome! it says to pick which drive to put the game on. I put it on my new one. It told me to create a skater. I put in my name and the list came up to what to do. I went to career and started playing the game was awesome. sucks that you cant get off Ur board.

After being a person that played Tonyhawk since number 1, playing this game completely revolutionized the way i thought about skateboading games. its new and interesting controls and abilities like: Sponsorships, games, etc. made this game easy to love. In fact i liked it so much the next day i fixed my skateboard and rode around the nieghbourhood (even though it was pouring like a mother).

Instead of button mashing for combos and getting rediculas air, you use the thumb stick to ollie and whatever way flick the thumbstick is whatever trick you will do, for example: flick it up and to the left you'll make a kickflip, hold it for double, triple etc.

Ride around town, buy clothes and customize your character, earn money and sign on with sponsors. very new and refreshing and nothing like the TH series.

But of course like all games theres a down side. at times i felt that some objectives were literally impossible which inturn and over time degenerated my enthusiasm to play the game. like: get 20ft of air, double heelflip to grab trick to manual to grind. first of all any air at 15 ft and you fall off the board. 2nd good luck finding a good setup for that seeing how big the world is.

Overall worth a try and rent it out.

The game is fun, but it's a little too much on the realism factor.

Pros:
Large environment to explore
You can skate on anything
Large variety of apparel/accessories
The tricks are awesome

Cons:
Too realistic for a video game
Too many pedestrians that interrupt gameplay (Yes, I understand there are pedestrians in real-life, but come on...)
The contests are lame (It throws you out there with 4-5 other skaters at the same time in a small area)
