It would have been nice if when I requested this game, you need a special type of micphone. There was nothing stating this, and I thought that my regular mic for playstation 2 games would work. This was why I rated this game soo low.
You can't review this without comparing it to KR, So here I go. First off You get less songs than KR but with the actual artists and their videos, Singstar goes for quality over quantity. Plus you get two mics with it so you're ready for multiplayer right off the bat. The songs are pretty diverse covering three decades so you have at least heard most of them, so when you throw this in with some friends around everybody can find something they can get into. Plus the different games focusing on music types gives you control over how your karaoke dollar is spent.
Overall the game is good ,could have had more songs but licensing ate up the budget. If you like throwing on a karaoke game with your friends(or alone with the curtains shut so no one sees you) you will enjoy this.

sure this game has got some ok songs, but how are you supposed to sing them if you haven't heard them before. if there are songs on this game that you don't know then you are either gonna have to listen to the song again and again or your just gonna have to skip it. all in all your going to being singing about a quarter of the play list 2 or three times and then your done. its not worth the time to rent this game even if you like karaoke. if you really do like karaoke, then i recommend karaoke revolution.
