Amazing game! (not the best in the series though)

Now that we finally quit having nightmares with Pyramid Heads in them and such...and our psychologist cut our meetings to only one session per week..Konami created another Monster!
OVERVIEW
The Silent Hill series always have been an unforgettable experience..Silent Hill 4 is no expection.
Changes have been made in SH4:The Room and some of them might disappoint the hard-core Silent Hill fans...the absence of the pocket radio and the flashlight which have been with us during the first 3 games indicated that our adventure in SH4 will be quite different from what we're used to. Personally i would love to have the flashlight back; it created a special sence of fear..being in the dark with only this tiny thing lighting up the creepy stuff around you. However, SH4 works fine without the flashlight whatsoever..
The story line this time is as twisted, scary and original as it could only be. Being trapped in your own appartment is already original, for other games never started in a similar way... The game is not all that long actually... but the previous series haven't been either. Still you can replay SH4 again and again just to get the different endings.
The gameplay is good. This time around, you can adjust the strength of your hits on the monsters.. Also, a health bar is now visible while fighting. The traditional menu is gone, now we have to switch weapons and choose items in real time. I liked these changes, though the health bar bothered me at first. We all were fine in Sh1,2 & 3 without it being on the screen. Talking about graphics- the game looks amazing of course.
THE BAD STUFF: repetition... going to same locations twice- oh cooome on KONAMI! where is the imagination!? anyway, another thing- you're not IN Silent Hill at all.. that was a minus for me- i would rather see more connection to the town itself...
To cut it short- not the best SH game, but an amazing piece of digital entertainment ;) PLAY IT!
