Shrek Superslam for Game Boy Adv Reviews & Ratings by IGN

Even without a movie to piggyback off of, Shrek is hitting both the Nintendo DS and Game Boy Advance system this year in a party-style fighting game design from handheld developers Griptonite Games. Activision will be publishing the title for the fall, but we're giving you an early look at the games well in advance of their releases.

Shrek SuperSlam puts characters from both Shrek films in fast-based brawling action against one another; members such as Shrek, Donkey, Puss-in-Boots, Princess Fiona, Prince Charming, and more will go head to head in a variety of locations and unique gameplay situations. Tons of destructible objects, tons of magic and power-ups; whack enemies with a lightning hammer, or shrink 'em down with a potion.

As many as four players can duke it out in these environments. The Nintendo DS version will feature 13 arenas and 12 playable characters, with the Game Boy Advance version rounding out with 10 characters and just as many locations. The GBA version will support both link cable as well as the Wireless adapter for its multiplayer modes, and the DS, well, that's wireless right out of the box.

The Nintendo DS version of the game will be completely in 3D with dual-screen function, including the ability to zoom the camera in and out using the touchscreen, as well as manage power-ups and weapons by a single tap of the finger. The Game Boy Advance version will rely on the system's 2D strengths for its own gameplay; each version is an entirely unique gaming experience.
