I suppose no one cares about games on the PS2 anymore, and that must be the reason that they put this garbage of a game on store shelves without people burning down the place.
I loved the Ratchet & Clank series...all the way up to Deadlocked. But after that, the games lost everything that made them good. I understand that a different company made these last few games. It is unfortunate that they thought this game was good enough to put out for distribution.
There is no weight to the controls here. You feel completely detached from Clank and anything that he does onscreen. His jumps feel floaty and as though Clank weighs 2 pounds. His punch attacks give you the same grunt sound byte over and over again. When you smash crates, it feels like...I don't know...like you didn't even smash anything at all, just looked at them and they crumbled.
After I got the first weapon, that blade thingy, I stopped playing. I couldn't take how badly this weapon performed and how it was developed by the guys at whatever company made this game. No effort at all. They just didn't care. So I stopped caring and took the game out.
All I'll say about the camera is that it gave me a headache and that it's only purpose seems to be to kill Clank as quickly as possible.
To go from such awesomeness, to such absolute garbage is just intolerable. I should have known better than to try this game after Size Matters. But...maybe its just because no one cares about the quality of games on the PS2 anymore. Its dead anyway, so why care? Right? Let's just forget about the people who still own and play this system. They are dog-excrement because they will not buy our new PS3. So lets feed them...dog excrement. They'll buy it and be satisfied because that's all they are gonna get.
Thanks a lot, developers and all you guys who make these decisions.
