When I first heard about Scribblenauts, I automatically wanted to rent it. I actually believed that this game was actually going to be fun. While at first, I felt that this was a great game, but after awhile, I got bored. It is a very unique and imaginative game, but it has cons too.
PROS- Unique game play, fun at the beginning, chance to do whatever you want, and have fun.
CONS- Gets boring rather quickly, extra long mandatory tutorial, poor controls ex. a rope is dangling over a cliff. You want to pick it up and attach it to something, but instead of grabbing it, you run of the cliff and fail the mission, levels quickly get old, many levels are hard to understand ex. find the ghosts. How do you find the ghost? I used x-rays, heat sensors, ghost hunters, vacuums, and even guns, but finally for some weird reason the starite appeared and I'm left with no understanding of what happened, too many levels, and very repetitive levels with the same boring concepts.
Even the most imaginative person will have a hard time understanding how to accomplish these very boring missions.
When I first got this game I was really excited. I played it for a while and it was really fun for me. The game lets you type in any word as long as its not vulgar or copyright to anything. All of the challenges are really unique and it is fun to use your brain to figure out the puzzles. This game got boring as soon as I realized that I would ue the same things over and over to beat the level. I'm not saying that this game is bad I am just saying that if don't have a really good imagination them this game will get boring like it did to me. I would give this game an even score of 5. I like how it is designed and how all they levels can be challenging in some way.
IF YOU HAVE A VERY ACTIVE IMAGINATION THEN GET THIS GAME OR RENT IT.
I loved everything I heard about this game and was really looking forward to playing. However, the practice mode took forever (maybe I missed something along the way) and was boring. Just didn't like this one at all.
