Okay so I am only a fan of the FIRST movie so, no Fanboy here.
======
Rundown
======
I haven't played that far into the game but here is the synopsis of what I have played so far.
The game is a HORROR/PUZZLE game, weird huh? but it works out well.
You are the black cop from the first movie, (the "Lethal Weapon" guy) and you get trapped by the Jigsaw guy and trying to escape and also trying to catch him.
The game isnt that scary, people jump out at you sometimes and you have to kill them but thats all the scary.
The scenery/ setting looks pretty creepy and youll here guys being tortured in the background.
Often Jigsaw will trap you in a room and you have to find a way to escape, thats the puzzle part of the game. Of course the puzzles get more difficult as you progress through the game.
The Music isnt that noticeable, but if you listen it adds to the ambiance of the game.
GAMEPLAY runs pretty smoothly but the camera angles get frustrating sometimes.

Well I think the game is worth the rent, and if you love the movies you'll definitely recognize some the the scenes. RENT IT! easy achievement points!

As you're being introduced to the game it is fun...but after you have seen all of the traps and puzzles the game becomes very repetitive which makes it boring. The game does have a good scare factor though with the surroundings being darkened and creepy noises coming from everywhere...but even so this will quickly subside once you know what to expect. When in combat with enemies the hits your character throws register slowly making the game frustrating as you have to keep running until they miss so you can land an attack. It is an easy game and if you're an achievement hunter then this game is a good pickup as the goals are easy to meet. If you like the movie or like getting gamerscore I'd suggest picking up the game to try it out, but if you're thinking about it just for the gameplay I'd think twice because you're in for a good 6-8 hr cycle of boredom.

Every since the first saw which was a great movie. They have decided to keep popping out movies and because of their popularity we get Saw the video game. This game takes place between the first and second movie. To be honest this game isn't that bad. It has some good graphics and great lighting due to unreal engine. Guess what folks this game might actually get your heart pumping and scare you from time to time. Especially if you play it in the dark. The traps are creative and the game starts out with a bang. Now comes the bad news. This game gets old and it can happen after a couple of hours because the puzzles get repetitive. And when it comes to hand to hand combat the controls feel clunky and at times unresponsive. Now don't get me wrong this is not a bad game and it does deliver a cool story with some neat twist for fans. So if you are in to Saw or just the horror genre and puzzle games i would say to give this game a go. So you know though i would defiantly rent this game before you go out to buy it.
