i just had the is delivered to my house about a week ago and beat it about two days ago. i have to say that this game is action packed. full of fun, and a great laugh. the games graphics are pretty good. just very colorful and not as detailed as GTA 4. but the options for the game is great. you can fly jets, helicopters, drive tanks, and any car in the game and also customize any car you can drive. for the campaign, it is not short. it is pretty long and as always, action packed and fun. with this game you never get bored. the avatar editor is very cool. with that you can let your mind run wild and make him any way you want. and voice you want, as buff as you want, and even do dances. this game is defiantly up there with one of my favorite games.

I'm a huge fan of the first 2 games. i loved the whole respect thing with missions, i loved how the gangs were split up, and there was a clear story behind what you'd do. it made the game play like a movie, where you want to know what is coming next.. but the third totally threw all that out the window in my opinion. It doesn't seem to have that story like feeling, i think, that the other two had. like for example i really didn't know who I'm fighting half the time. "are these the Deckers? the Luchadores?" IDK.
I never really cared about the characters in the third, like i did in the first two. Like when Carlos dies in the 2nd, you might actually be bummed. in the third, no such thing occurs :(
Lastly, The saints become a bunch of overpaid, fake, movie stars. what happened to the whole story of the kid who grew up in the ghetto, joins a street gang, moves up the ranks, takes over the city? Now hes a frickin' sellout.
Now all this is not to say the game is ABSOLUTELY terrible, it has its moments. some of the missions are pretty fun, like the first mission will have you yelling at the tv. "NO WAY!!" and saints row does that well. The customization is, like always, through the roof, and outrageous game-play is a strong suit.
Still I cant help but feel the game had lots of potential that it just didn't live up to. and seeing as this is the last game of the series, that sucks :(

THQ has drastically improved the Saints Row Engine, for smoother animations and unique mocap moves. The addition of various wrestling moves and exhagerated attacks using the sprint and "Awesome" button or the L Trigger makes for loads of entertainment and comedy.
Good but repetitve. I was stuck on a mission because the rest of the mission wouldn't load up and open the door so that I could proceed. Way too many bugs and too much lagging. Not to mention the fact that they force you to buy a season pass if you want Co-op. NOT COOL! 3/10
Dialogue could've been better but it was still entertaining. The music was very good. I love the hip hop and some of the rock. The Adultswim station... didn't get it but I did enjoy the Venture Bros. Theme. 7/10
If you didn't finish the side missions before the main story that's all you have left. 5/10
