SSSX on tour won't make you want to go snow boarding. It won't make you want to play it very long either.
I admit I am impressed with the games new style, and the graphics are really some of the best the PSP has to offer. THe controls are familiar but a little tough to really master so that you can make it to the end. That's said, this game being a lot of fun at first, and it is the only snow boarding game out for the PSP (Or did I miss something?) so with a huge amount of patience you could find it holds your attention longer than most. BUt the biggest problem with this game is, it get so difficult that you might smash it in to tiny pieces and feel that was money well spent on therapy. I wanted to love this game, but it just wouldn't relent in its painful difficulty curve.
Crying again, I am for that non existent 2nd stick! Why did they build a great handheld unit with one only? So I don't know who to blame SOny or EA BIG for this game getting to hard to play do in large part to the controls. It may also be that the developers cheated on the programming to make it so hard. I got half way through this...I was having a great time. But then BAM! not enough time to possibly continue trying to beat the clock or cheating AI opponents. Pulling off tricks is a huge pain as well, and that is what this game is about. Can't pull off great combos and tricks consistently and you just can't get any further in the game.
It's not awful all in all, it' just get too hard to consider paying top dollar retail. Maybe used, or rent until you get sick of it. Your call.
