SSX On Tour for GameCube Reviews by Gamers

Once one figures out the control system in this game it is pretty exciting. Creating your own character and taking him through the ranks of snowboarding is a pretty fun experience, and taking on the SSX characters from other games is enjoyable. However, once you get far enough into the game you realize you are just doing the same thing over and over again, that there's nothing better to do, and once you get far enough, doing that isn't enough to win. Every race and such winds up as doing minor tricks to open up your monster trick meter, and then doing monster tricks, which is very fun for a while, but doesn't really last long. However, the multiplayer is very fun when you play with a friend who knows how to play and the shortcuts add a little new flavor here and there. The sound track is also very enjoyable, with a variety of styles from indie to rap to fit most tastes. Overall it is worth a quick rental if you don't have anything your super excited about on your Q already.
