SSX On Tour for PlayStation 2 Reviews by Gamers

Living in Los Angeles, I don’t get to hit the slopes quite as often as I would like to. What do I do? The next best thing, fire up SSX on Tour and combo some of the sickest tricks ever pulled on a snowboard. In real life I can only do about half of the moves, but in SSX, I am a living legend.

SSX has the best controls and feel when it comes to the extreme games and the combos and power-ups are far superb to the competitions. In this SSX, the whole goal is to work your way up from beginner to ruling the tour. Your trek to the top is marked by a series of events in slope style, racing, tricks, and now they have also added in some new challenges to keep the game fresh.

This game has the capability to make you feel like you're flying down the mountain. The snow flies up around you as you dodge, grind, and jump over trees all the while trying to beat the other racers down the hill.

This is another one of those games that I like to have around - it’s always fun to do a 720 backflip. If you don’t know what that is then you definitely need to play this game.

SSX On Tour is the best so far in the series. Most impressive is the amount of "Shreds" you can do. a "Shred" is like a race, a trick competition, or other various things. There's over one hundred different individual shreds. The gameplay is well designed controls are okay and the graphics are good. Most importantly this game is fun! i actually enjoy playing this game. Unlike skating games...(Tony Hawk)...Which get boring after a while SSX keeps me interested for hours. The downsides would be that there are only 3 game modes and that it doesn't go online.
