This game is awesome! You really get into it once ur boarding down huge mountains with 300 ft drops. It feels like ur actually there. The only reason I didn't give it a 10 was because there was no online play and it was too short. If u wont buy this game definitely rent it.

I recently played Shaun White Snowboarding Road Trip and it reminded me of the best snowboarding game I ever played, SSX3. Out of all the big mountain games I've played, nothing had such an epic feeling, solid controls and plain coolness as SSX3.
The genius is in the mountain itself. All the courses link together to create a big, beautiful mountain to explore and compete on. The effects and graphics are pitch perfect for this type of game. Even the music works well here, reaching climactic highs while your pulling off cool stunts and quietly retreating to the background when things are going badly. And the shear amount of unlockable content is icing on the snow-covered cake.
Racing is a competitive joy, as all the racers compete in a knockdown brawl down the mountain, time trials will adequately test your riding skills and trick competitions will have you pulling off huge tricks for equally huge scores.
The sense of speed and the feeling of snow beneath your board add to the experience. It's not always perfect, but it's close enough.
If you have any problems, it's probably going to be with the time trials. These tests are so stringent that you will have a tough time completing them. Each time you do the full mountain time trial could result in a half-hour of your life you'll never get back. And some of later challenges against the other characters get ridiculous.
It's still a joy to play and it's the snowboarding game I remember after playing so many others. Considering it's over five years old, that's impressive.

Decent Game

I found that this game was kinda good. You didn't have any RECOMMENDED races or levels to do. I enjoyed just free-riding down the mountain to the bottom which gets you easy money as well as fun.

Eventually I remembered I got it for the Original XBOX and sent it back because I couldn't go online and that would have changed my mind to give it at least a 9 or 10, but, I guess I will have to wait until Shaun White's game comes out.

Multi-player has pretty fun but they made it VERTICLE when playing split-screen and, unless you have a 100" TV, you can't see the ride in front of you. And to me, I don't like crashing into trees when my friend keeps talking smack behind me. :-)
