The collection sports a decent line up of games; not all my faves, but I don't think I could have expected that. I might prefer to see the fighting games put out as their own collections (Samurai Showdown, King of Fighters, even Last Blade), but this was an enjoyable set nonetheless. I did like the feature where you can use a multitude of different controller options (Wiimote, Wiimote + 'chuck, Classic Controller, GC Controller). The only real complaint that I had was that move lists are only available as unlockables from different achievements. Of course, we have the internet to give us those, but to not have them in the game right off the bat just goes against good design philosophy. What modern fighting game doesn't contain the move lists for its characters? Other than that, I'd say the game is certainly worth getting, even at SRP. I'll be interested to see what Vol 2 will contain.
I can remember these games being the best there was at the arcade but it just doesn't translate to the Wii controls and it has not aged well. It was fun for a rental to remember the good ole days at the arcade but i'm GLAD i did not get these on the VC.
