Great game, I played it on Centurion difficulty and enjoyed it. I wouldn't buy the game, but worth renting. The graphics are next gen and a great way to burn some time. There are some gimmicky stuff they did in the game to utilize the next gen xbox, things like voice commands and recording game clips randomly. Xbox One has a limited number of titles right now and this is one everyone should at least try. I almost didn't play the game because of bad reviews from sites across the web, glad I gave it a shot!

I would highly recommend this game to anyone of the mature audience and action/adventure fans. Ryse has amazing graphics (best ive seen so far on next gen) story is good, and game may seem repetitive but with the amount of finishing moves to execute i never got bored. I would give this game a 9/10

Ryse is getting mixed reviews and wanted to lay my opinion down. The game is in my opinion a breath of fresh air for people who enjoy this time period. There are not enough games that are made that focus on ancient Rome and to be able to advance in the legion and play as a solider is a cool experience.

The game can get repetitive. However, the developer does try to compensate for that by giving you points to spend on new executions and to upgrade abilities. Though, the variation does follow the same patterns as the previous combat. You can time executions and skill chains so if you are into the min/max aspect of the combat it could be fun. If you treat it like a button masher it will be and the developer will allow you to succeed if you mash the buttons.

From the multiplayer experiences I have had, it's decent at best and really does nto hook me and want me to keep playing it. As far as I can tell it is all co-op and you and other "gladiators" work to fight against the CPU. Same scripted moves as the single player campaign.

All in all, the game for me is an 8. I am a HUGE fan of this time in history and like the experience to get to play and submerse myself into the Roman experience. The combat is a tad repetitive but it does look really cool. The boss fights leave a little to be desired as you figure their "combat patterns" out pretty quickly. I cannot imagine playing again or playing the multiplayer so not really a buy for me.
