Single player campaign took about 5 hours tops. The graphics were amazing, so I'll give 4 points for that. Often the controls don't do what you want them to do. Extremely limited number of moves you could do. Extremely limited number of noticeable upgrades to your character. If all aspects of the game had been as impressive as the graphics, it would have been stellar, but I want a LOT more in a $60 game than 5 hours of single player. Worst Xbox One experience for me yet.
I enjoyed Ryse from beginning to end. The gameplay is awesome and feels like the style of Batman arkham series during combat. Oh, and the graphics are absolutely awesome on the Xbox One. I might go buy this game after sending it back to Gamefly, I have wanted to play it ever since I sent it back. Story as well as multiplayer is very well-done. I don't see how anyone couldn't enjoy this game.

The graphics and sound are nothing short of spectacular. The storyline....only mildly engaging. The gameplay is simple, which is fine for me since I'm 50 years old with a career and family, so I don't have massive time to devote to a game. I finished the story, and I enjoyed it, but I wouldn't be happy if I'd paid $60 for the game. I rented it from GF thankfully. I almost finished the game without using Focus before I realized I needed it for the harder foes....and it took me forever to figure out how to use it, since I missed it in the tutorial portion. My own fault I guess, but I still say the instructions for it sucked. I'd really give it a 6.5, but not allowed on here.
