Weak

If I wanted to watch a movie...

I would have rented one. I didn't time it specifically but it certainly felt like the first hour of the game was spent more watching cut scenes and getting exposition than actually playing the game. Once you started playing most of the initial "levels" seemed to be walking across the room and then reaching another save point w/o much happening. I finally quit it just out of bordom more than anything else.

Given that it was release in '01 the graphics are pretty minimal compared to what's available today (especially if you are playing on today's hardware), but I doubt it turned many heads when it was new. Overall, if you are looking for an old style adventure game (or if the theme is of interest) this might not be bad... personally I wouldn't recommend wasting the rental.

Bad

Okay for Deaf Gamers

When I first got this game - I thought that the game would be almost like The Colossal. It turned out to be a nightmare! The effects were poorly made, and there wasn't a lot you could do with the camera angles.

I tried playing the game according to walk-through and still, I got confused by the guides, and the way the game was being played. It's not very 3-d type of game. There are certain spots that you can't really change. It was like having a upper body that stays in the same position, and the lower body that changes its position. Creepy, I know but that's how the main character was like.

Although, the subtitles start at the very beginning by default. You do not have to worry about going to options to turn subtitles on. It's there even for dialgoues between your character and other person. The only thing that frustrated me a somewhat was the speed in the dialogues. For example, the subtitles would show and then gradually dim to nothing before going on to the next dialogue or the subtitles would go too fast for you to read.

Other important thing that this game actually sucks is the length of time you have to wait in between when saving a game, loading a game, and more. If you're the type that likes to go at a steady pace, then this game is NOT for you.

For the Deaf gamers out there, I'd rate this as a 7 for subtitles but for the rest of the game, it actually sucks at 3!
