Rolling Stone Gathers Not Enough Fun

Do you have the urge to play drums in a rock band but can't afford Rock Band? Or Guitar Hero: World Tour?
Well, you're in luck; you can get Rolling Stone: Drum King and use the Wiimote and Nunchuck to beat pretend drums.
The game offers up to 30 songs, but you'll have to unlock all but six of them. How? By successfuly playing the unlocked songs in Gig Mode many, many times. There are also five venues to unlock, but it will take a lot of practice (and luck) to achieve that.
There are three difficulty settings in Drum King: Drummmer, Drum King, and Drum Madness.
Drummer is easiest; you just wave the Wiimote or Nunchuck when prompted by the block on screen (you may have to hit the A button in some cases).
Drum King gets much more complicated. You get five lanes - one outer lane is used with the Wiimote with B button held down, the other is the Nunchuck with Z button held down.
The three in the middle are used by either the Wiimote without B button pressed or the Nunchuck without the Z button pressed. It will take a while to get used to these controls, time which some players will not give this game.
Drum Madness is like Drum King, except the three lanes in the middle are more complex. Not only do you not hold down the Z or B button, but you have to hold the control pad (or thumbstick) left to get the left lane of the three.
To get to the right lane of the three, you have to not press the Z or B button and hold the control pad (or thumbstick) right. This can really cause headaches.
Adding to the aggrivation are controls that aren't properly callibrated to the motions, and some songs that have you beating the Nunchuck (with Z button held down) repeatedly. This can be a real pain - in the arm.
There's very little help here, and the prompts are confusing, often sending me back to the main screen when I wanted the song selection list.
Rolling Stone: Drum King has a great song list, but mechanical problams and bad help screens ruin it. SKIP IT.

This game was a disapointment. The songs you can drum to aren't even sung by the original singers, the response signal thing is off,
and it's just not very fun to play.
Don't waste your time renting this game!

Why did you send me this game? Its not even in my queue. Yes I dont have anything currently out for a month now and I'm contemplating on cancelling because you dont bother to stock enough new releases.

This game is fun if you do not have Rock Band and want to play a game similar to Rock Band. The only option you have is drumming so that does limit the fun but you can play solo or drummer vs drummer. Arms can get tired quickly but without even knowing it you are getting an arm workout! 8-)

Rolling Stone should be embarassed

Where to start? The gameplay, graphics, interface, menu...all terrible. When there are already quality products for drumming (Rock Band, Guitar Hero World Tour), why would anyone want to take such a step backward? The song selction was weak and not even performed by the actual artists. My recommendation is to stay FAR away from this title.
