Tries to be Splinter Cell, but fails

"Rogue Ops" tries to capitalize on the popularity and success of the stealth-action genre defined by the Splinter Cell series, but does only a semi-competent job. It's not an out-and-out horrible game, but it doesn't come anywhere close to the excitement, suspense, and finesse characteristic of "Splinter Cell", "Metal Gear Solid", or other such games it attempts to imitate. The controls are awkward, the scenarios are too scripted, and the characters are completely wooden and two-dimensional. If you're a stealth-action fanatic who's played everything else the genre has to offer and still thirsts for more, then hey, give it a go. Maybe you'll get a kick out of it. But it's just not special or unique enough to recommend heartily.

This is one of the most challenging games I have ever had the pleasure of playing. I usually only find Tom Clancy games challenging but this is the "Cream of the Crop".

I hope they have more versions coming out in the future.

The graphics were okay for this game, and the switching from one weapon to another was also fine.
But the biggest problem I had with it was the fact that both the joystick and C-stick controlled the character's movement.
Just simply moving the character in a 360 to get a good view of a room could move you across a beam.
This is why I gave it only a 4 based on the fact that the movement which should be easy and smooth was not.
