2 out of 2 gamers (100%) found this review helpful

This game has the great and exciting feel of both kingdom hearts and Final Fantasy. You are in a team with 2 other people you can change, It's a free attack based game(not taking turns hitting your enemy) with a reward system and an instant transition back to your quest. You fight then your on your way with what you were doing. The only thing that is a little annoying is the voices that come out of nowhere at random moments, but they can be switched off which is really good.

This is not a game where you can just run into a battle. You have to know your enemies weaknesses, attack patterns, and tricks (if any). Also, the only thing you have to go by to get through each level is a guided path with lots of dead ends which can get you lost very fast. But that is what makes a game entertaining.
One last thing. Being the PS2 and comparing the PS3 and 360, this game has some really good graphics. I was really surprised when I saw how big the game was and the amount of detail that went into the game.

I highly recommend this game for any adventurer gamer in your household.

Rouge Galaxy RULES!

This game has a free moving system like Kingdom Hearts and controls that are easy to learn. Old weapons combined with new ones can make more powerful weapons. Healing and resurrection items are easy to use and pretty cheap to buy. The storyline hides a little but not much from the player. Side quests are long but fun. If you are looking for a game like Kingdom Hearts, this game is worth trying. Overall one of the best games I've ever played!

I noticed that it has similar gameplay to Kingdom Hearts, which I am quite okay with. RPG's have become way too complicated. I've been a fan since Final Fantasy 3(6), but lately a lot of RPG's are a big disappointment. I enjoyed this one, though. There's constant action going on around you, and there's always something to work towards, like with the hunting points. It makes the battle modes seem more important, but with the gameplay style it doesn't make it boring. They also made the game simpler... There aren't any weird menu options you have to remember or something that will take you reading pages of instructions to figure out. All in all, this game was a nice surprise. The story is lacking, but when it comes down to it I'm still having fun anyway, and that's the point of the game.
