A truly fine send-off to the PS2.

Rogue Galaxy takes me back to a time when stand-alone RPGs were being made for the fans and not for the funds. I mean, you remember the PS1's amazing RPGs despite the spin-offs? And how the PS2 also had some good RPGs but more spin-offs? And how the PS3 promises us only spin-offs? Yeah, it looks like the otaku's gonna be moving on to 360 for story, whoda'thunkit, but the PS2's not dead yet. Rogue Galaxy, one of the last great games not about horses for our rectangular friend, is an awesome and beautiful game full of good voiceover, plenty of mini-games, a fun throwback story, and a really cool battle system. (Warning: It's not turn-based.) I don't know if the game'll give you 100 hours like it promises, but if it even gives you 15 (not saying the game's short at all. By no means!), it's still a better bet than Samurai Warriors 2: Empires, you know? If you were a fan of the old-school RPG and can dig the new-school gameplay, Rogue Galaxy's something you need to try out.
