Rockin' Pretty for Nintendo DS Reviews by Gamers

When I read the overview for this game I was excited. But I feel totally lied to. The last line especially! "Play through the touching storyline, and decide - will you choose love, or your love for music?"

Touching storyline? The storyline is bland and typical. Your a girl who wants to play in a band. You join a band as a replacement and they decide to keep you. To progress the game you play stages with different songs all the way to the very last level. THAT'S IT.

And what's with that "...will you choose love, or your love for music?" There is no such choice in the game. There isn't even the slightest hint of romance! Sure you can dress up your characters, but it's not like it gives you a bonus to style or affects your story any. It's just to let you play dress up.

The music is OK, nothing to get excited over, just sounds like a midi file. This game would only appeal to those who are excited about the rhythm based game play. But don't get it thinking it'll be a cute date sim with music. This game is only about playing music.
