My first rock game was guitar hero III. And I thought it was the best rock game ever. That of course was until I heard that they were going to add vocals and a drum set.
When rock band came out I probably should have rented it but I bought the whole set and as soon as I played my first song, I fell in love with the game. The first instrument that I tried to play was the drums. And trust me, your not going to be great on your first try. So I went through all the tutorials and I soon became pretty good. I really feel like i'm playing a real drum set and I love it. ( But beware of the kick pedal, it starts to hurt your legs after a while).
Next I tried out the vocals because I couldn't wait to see how the producers of the game were going to capture your voice through the microphone. I was a little disappointed though because even on easy it is really hard to try and capture each note. ( Or maybe I just can't sing)
I normally play the solo tour but when my brother comes home or my friends come over we play as a band. We always have a bunch of fun playing all the instruments together. And I actually get the true feeling of playing on stage with a band.
So overall I love this game and it will keep you busy for a very long time with head to head guitar, vocals, and drum battles. So hurry up and get this game if you haven't already. And I can't wait to get Rock Band 2.
i would totally have liked to play the game but the game doesn't work with guitar hero controllers on the wii.... dont get me wrong its an awsome game.. but why would you rent it if you didn't have the controllers to play?.....
