Endless Gameplay

To get full enjoyment out of this game you need to have a wireless internet connection. The offline single player is, by far, the weakest part of the game. If you're willing to spend more money for DLC then there's no reason you can't find a good handful of songs you're currently in love with. The library of songs available is so varied that there's something for everybody. The online has a nice feel; playing as a band with people on the opposite side of the country never gets old. My only problem with it is that if the others don't have the same DLC as you, you can't play that song. I know they're trying to make sure a song isn't played by someone who hasn't paid for it, but can't they allow them to just play it that once? Odds are if they like the song they'll spend the $2 on it rather than spending hours searching for other players who have it.

This game is difficult on expert; it takes hours to master the basics. The more difficult songs will have to be practiced individually. I'm not into the "pro" stuff. This is a game, not a music teacher, and that's the part this review is based on. That being said, this game has so much to do. Guitar, drums, vocals, keyboard, and now pro guitar/drums. Mastering multiple instruments for certain songs adds hours of gameplay.

LOL rock band... where customization is lacking, the music is mostly mediocre, and the hammer-ons don't work no matter how many times you calibrate even when the person playing plays the final set in every previously released Guitar Hero on Expert at nearly 100%
