There's something uniquely creative about an RPG that finally adresses the issue of how a handful of dungeon crawlers can carry around a dozen wagon-loads full of items wherever they go.
Not so in Riviera - a game that finally forces players to decide between that new weapon or those reliable healing herbs. The inventory system (which many gamers will surely despise) is one of the most delightful and challenging elements of the game. Often, gameplay takes on a more practical quasi-AD&D feel as players are often not sure which direction to go or which items to keep.
The characters are vivid, the storyline quite unique... there just needs to be more! More playable characters, more monsters, more treasures, more weapons, more attack animations, more dungwons and definitely more side-quests.
In all, a true delight for any real gamer.
