This game is great, just like the board game that i played as a kid, and dont have to clean it up! What can you say about this game, well if you liked it back on the board then you will like it now. No change, new stuff added but you dont have to play with those options.
My only problem was getting the different medals, i am one short and have no idea how to get it, i mean you get the medals by accident but now that i have all but one i want that one. And according to the cheat code section it tells me but even doing that i still cant get it. But o well.
The graphics are nice, gameplay is easy to understand, the voice actors get real repetitive but other then that, if you like the original then yu will like this.

I won't bother to tell you whether Risk is a fun game or not. We all already know that it is. So, lets talk about what makes a good conversion from the board to a video game console:
1) Faithfulness to the original - In this I can say Cyberlore did a fantastic job. They simply transferred the rules to the video game. What they did that was of particular interest was that while the default was to play with the original classic rules, they gave you the ability to select some of the newer more questionable rule changes as well. This means that not only do us old codgers get to play the same game we played back when the pieces were made of wood (yes, there was a time when the pieces were small wood blocks), but them young wipper snappers get to play with their unholy travesty of a rule set as well. In all seriousness though, it was a nice touch.
Of particular interest is that they also included several of the more common house rules like random country selection.
2) Graphics - With this one, the most important aspect is not how pretty the game looks. The important thing is whether or not you can get a feel for the troop layout easily. It doesn't do you much good to have a beautiful picture of Kamchaka if you don't see the green's stack of 30 troops sitting on the Ural border. In this, Cyborlore did a good job of showing enough of the board that only a small amount of scrolling was necessary to see the whole board. The place they fell short was in the color coding. The green, blue, gray, and black armies all looked too similar. On a larger, higher quality TV this might not have been a problem, but the color problem made it a bit difficult in deciding whether to take out the greens, or fortify my front.
3) AI - If you like a good game instead of bragging rights, AI is very important. Here Cyberlore did a fine job. While I can win most games, I have lost quite a few as well. Given that I've been playing Risk for some 31 years, that's pretty good.
