So This game started out on the ground running in a lot of ways. It doesn't have any real tutorial and, if you're not careful you can run into something that can destroy you fairly easily and, when it does give you a hint often it neglects to mention you need to upgrade your skills first. (which is more annoying than it sounds.)
what started me to lose my enjoyment of this game; went like this. Hey I leveled up okay stats all went up by 0, I got learning points (However I use those at the beginning of the game.) and, my health didn't recover...
Then the reality of this games lack of health regeneration and, constant starvation of gold starts kicking in. (Oh look I just took out that stronger version of a wolf... looting... I got the same wolf tooth as the weaker ones! I had to use several items to kill this thing. I basically spent more gold fighting this thing than I gained.
Even at this point I remained hopeful but, when I wanted to talk to someone and, I accidentally stole the grog on the table. got beat up and, that person refused to talk to me. (basically forever unless you can get the right item.) Enough was enough.
Good bye Risen. Don't come back now.
