I personally really enjoyed this game. the story background was real good and the cut scenes were pretty amazing. i liked how the dialog moved the story along. and my wife enjoyed watching the cut scenes too lol. great game. last level is the best by far.

this game was pretty fun. it was nice to see all of the gods and goddesses and things in a video game. that made the history part of my brain spring awake. except for the fact that achilles was in it... that was just wierd. oh, and hercules was a mountain of a man too... and the story line was "ok". the game play was fun too, except for the mindless array of not interesting combos and two different finishing kills. and here is where it gets a little nasty. the graphics were some of the worst I have seen on the 360. even with the unreal engine powering this game, it still did not match up, even to some classic xbox games before it. that really threw me off. also, the gameplay itself was also lack luster. there sure was a ton of running around. the entire time i was thinking, I am a king, can't i get a horse or something?! and yeah, you can kind of customize the character. but only certain weapons he is given and armor too. if you are looking for a Baulder's Gate Dark Alliance kind of feel, you have come to the wrong place. But if you are looking for a button smashing game that takes a while, you are good to go.

Very Good

Not just hack and slash

I really enjoyed this game and love interactive games. Running around and just hacking your way from one cut scene to the next ends up boring me. That's why I like games like Mass Effect and Argonauts, although Argonauts follows a main storyline and your interactions / dialog don't really impact the story. If you are a fan of pure shooters (killing your way from one cut scene to the next) this is not going to be the game for you.

Side note: if you know the story of Jason, you are in for a let down, because this is not the real story of Jason. It's not even close. There's no young Jason wondering into town with one saddle and there's no Hydra guarding the fleece. Consider this an alternative to the real myth.

The graphics are solid to good, but not all that next gen. The game play is easy and you don't really even need to focus on the God Powers (which is kind of a let down since that was suppose to be a perk). The storyline falls short of the true myth, but OK. The real perk in this game is that you actually have a dialog, similar to Mass Effect, except without the story altering impacts. It's more then just a hack and slasher, so it's worth the buy for me. I can understand most folk just renting it.
