While all of the major characters from the Rio movie are shown at some point in the game, only four of them are playable: Blu, Pedro, Nico, and Eva.
Is There Multiplayer?
Yes, up to four players can play through all of the game modes, competing against each other in the mini-games.
Is There a Story?
While there is a story mode, there's not much actual story involved. Rather, one of the characters from the film will give you a brief synopsis of what's going on before showing a snippet from the film. Then you'll play a series of mini-games until you're ready for the next little synopsis.
What Are the Mini-Games Like?
There are 40 mini-games, though some of them are re-skinned or only slightly different. For the most part, they involve pretty standard genres. There are games where you through snowballs or mud at each other, games where you race to reach the top of a platform, and games that have you ducking and jumping over obstacles.
How's It Looking?
About what you would expect for a mini-game compilation aimed at kids. The art is bright and colorful, and the mini-games are fast-paced and fun for four players competing against each other. While this would be a great game for parents and kids to play together, unless you've got a little one around, you're not likely to be interested.
