So to be honest I really didn't get too far into this.
I think I only got to the 3rd chapter.
The combat was interesting but for me that was the best part of this game so far.
When I play an RPG if the story isn't good enough to hold my attention within the first couple of hours then I'm not going to enjoy it and by the time I got to the 3rd chapter I was bored.
Nothing really went on in the first couple chapters except for a blackout and 2 boss battles which we're kinda hard.
Maybe if I played more then the story would pick up and get interesting but I just got too bored with it.

Idea here was to bring a whole new feel to the typical turn based rpgs that we all love. Unfortunately they made the combat system not easy to figure out. Even following the instructions that it tells you, and that's only once very briefly, it still doesn't work. There has to be a trick to it, but I couldn't figure it out. Kept dying by the first group of thugs. Game is very pretty, and I'm sure it has a great story, but this major combat flaw is gonna stop thousands of people from playing past where I had to quit.
Basically, if you are gonna bring in new concepts then give us a dang tutorial. FFXIII was a little too much tutorial, but still we full well knew how to play after that first 20 hours, lol.

Resonance of Fate is a well done rpg with nice graphics a good combat system and a decent yet at times confusing story line. The controls are easy to learn if you take the tutorial at the arena and are easily mastered after around 8-10 hours of gameplay. Of course with most games Resonance of Fate is not at all perfect the leveling system is broken the combat gets old espically if you over level your characters you only get to play as the three characters you get introduced to at the begining and the personalities are steryotypical JRPG. The bigest problem is the Bezel system where you can use one to use a hero action and if you die you lose a few this basicaly makes you imortal not only that but if you do manage to die you can restart the battle for in game money making it imposible to really lose which means there's no risk and that took away alot of the enjoyment and all the perceived challenge for me.
