In the vain of House of the Dead, you are moved forward in a linear progression of the early RE story line. Once I got familiar with the controls the game was enjoyable. I wouldn't own it but it's worth renting. With my rail game fix out of the way I get to save my $20 in tokens for something else at the boardwalk arcade.
Ok for starters this Resident Evil version is a shooter like House of the Dead type of game. Its a whole Different Resident Evil experience. I really liked it because it tell the Story we all are very familiar with since 1998 from a different point of view and it also ties up and connected succesfuly any loose ends the story might have had in the past. When you play it you will go "Hey that didnt happen like that or Woow So thats what happened". The graphics are decent for a Wii game which system is mostly focused in control. The control of this game is wonderful with the Wii Zapper or any other control attachment. The sound has been completely revamped to a totally different style of sound wich took me a while to get used to like the characters voices and looks wich are completely different from any other resident evil game.
I reccomend this game to be played in 2 players pair to maximized the experience of this game.
it may not be like the usual resident evil where its either a 3rd person shooter or its old formula
but as a on-rail-shooter,resident evil fits right in its genre
as the gamefly description says, you play through resident evil 0-resident evil 3,along with scenarios that show what happened to certaint characters
if you happen to do horrible in other resident evil games like i do,than you'll love this, however this doesnt mean that the game is super easy becasue its not, like any on-rail-shooter or resident evil game it takes some thinking
i honestly couldnt find anything really bad other than not being able to save healing items and doing team quick-time events
a thing i really loved is that your first weapon, which is the plain ol' hand gun,is unlimited with its ammo which makes you feel like you have a fighting chance
however there are enemies that require the big guns and or grenades
the story holds up nice although in ways it doesnt follow the originals exactly but none the less still holds up good
overall its a great, esspeical for people who dont do well in other resident evil games
and i cant wait to play darkside chronicles when im done with this and i cant wait for the next on-rail-resident evil or in short ORRE
