The original RE controls are like... learning a martial art it takes practice, practice, and more practice. Unless your billy blanks, then you only like RE 4 and 5 for it's "Easy to learn moves". I like the traditional controls alot. I wouldnt trade them for the world. What does this have to do with my review? Well, we all know that REO, file one and two are the last remaining, Non remake, offspring of the Traditional RE Controls. That was it folks, no more. Not very many people are like me. I have heard soooo many people bash on RE 1 through REO#2, then turn around and say "i love RE4 and RE5". People, it goes like this, if you like the old school REs then yes, try out REO. REO is a little more realistic (As if zombies weren't realistic already lol) you dont have very much inventory space, objects can be used as weapons, your friends act retarted in the face of danger. You block and secure doors to keep zombies out, carry your dying partners to safety. Each character has special attributes. The only let down for me was YOU PICK YOUR STAGE. yes it's in stages and yes you can choose one. I hated it in this one and i hate it in RE5. You have 2 other survivers with you which oddly enough, you choose at the stage select. Now if your character is dying you can choose to help or let them die but they will come back as zombies. There is also your virus percent thing. Which would make sense if you had been bitten, it is actually there at the start. there is no way to lower it. only slow it down or make it stop going up for a limited amount of time. To me, it's more like a... time clock. the you have been playing for too long time clock once it's at 100, BOOM! No, you just plop over and die. ok ok, I could go on and on about REO but im at 243 characters remaining. REO can end up being alot fun, just give it a chance. Theres tons of replay value here too. TONS. Now, im not saying break your neck to play this game. if youve got some friends and beers, well, bust out the ps2.
