game experience ruined

I have been a fan of Resident Evil games since the first time i met Leon in Raccoon City and you had to find ink ribbons and ammo was so scarce, 1/2 the game you were just dodging everything. Though the game is much better in those areas, unfortunately not much has changed in the feel and "play" of the game. I still found myself in ridiculous close up camera views in wrong direction trying to shoot nearby enemies, bad views that cause hardship and mistakes in what should be really fun action scenes, and lack of controller modification ability that puts the gamer in situations where you have to run and then aim quickly, but instead you either get killed by monster that you can't see in screen, the camera moves angles change too quick and you have to un-aim, turn character, then aim again; or you slide because aim and slide buttons are the same (good idea in a monster-shooter). There is also the fact that when you bring up the menu to mix, store, move, drop items; the game doesn't pause, hopefully you remembered to mix herbs earlier or you will die trying to. Though the story is great, and I mean great, they pretty much bring everything together from the beginning of the franchise, The gameplay really disappointed and frustrated me to the point where I sent the game back to gamefly only finishing Leon's and 1/2 of Jake's stories. There are 2 more, and I always play all of every part of a game. I played black ops 2 story five times to get all the different scenerios together for example. Resident Evil frustrated me enough times playing on amatuer and normal, I can't even imagine going higher and dealing with this with low ammo and more zombies, that I gave up. I never write reviews unless it's like the best game I ever played, but since these simple things that are the most basic parts of the game are so bad, I had to comment. It's 2012 and like the 10 + R E game. We really can't get better camera work, more controller layout options, and a pause menu? Really?
