Resident Evil 6 for PlayStation 3 Reviews by Gamers

Wasn't that bad of a game, but couldn't help but feel like I was playing RE 5 with some new bells and whistles. I started and finished Leon's campaign and it seemed very short. After completing his campaign I started Chris's campaign and was enjoying that quite a bit more. His brute force type style matched my general play style a bit closer.

When all is said and done I was seriously considering adding the game to my collection for the $29.99 GF had it priced at but decided to wait until its a little bit cheaper.

Resident Evil 6 is truly an impressive game from an action standpoint, increasingly suspensful, and the use of various new gameplay mechanics such as a live inventory along with many CQC attacks makes the game intense.

On the other hand I've got to admit, I'm VERY dissapointed. This game has strayed off from it's original feel so much and the story has taken incredibly daring twists which downplay the experience a little. In previous Resident Evil titles the character/player bond was more intimate in the sense that players spent more time relating to their characters personalities and were more in control.

Pros:
Very well done graphics. Gameplay has gotten better in some parts for instance CQC which allows you to fight the zombies now.

Cons:
Character feels limited to cutscene actions and pre-plotted scenarios. There is not really a sense of freedom as there was in previous resident evils.
