Definitely not bad, but not outsanding either

I've been a fan of the Resident Evil series for quite some time now. I was very excited to get a hold of RE6, and when I actually started playing I wasn't disappointed. However, I wasn't quite satisfied either. Luckily, I have friends and family who played through the entire game with me, making it much more enjoyable and chaotic than was probably intended. I did play through Ada's story alone, though, and it just seemed a bit stale to me. I think that if you have somebody to play with, this game is great. But if you try to go it alone, you'll probably find the game leaves much to be desired. The first story (Leon and Helena) was very good on it's own, but the rest (Chris/Piers, Jake/Sherry and Ada) get very repetitive and don't really change anything up besides the type of enemy you're facing (Zombies vs. J'avo). I would agree with other reviews that say Capcom has found a sort of comfort-zone in where the series is at and seem hesitant toward any major change, which is what needs to always be happening if they plan to keep this series alive.
The game is definitely a great experience when playing with others, but when playing alone it lacks the ability to keep me hooked, which is why I would only rate it as a 6.
