I just wanted to shoot up some zombies. Is that too much to ask? Controls are annoying and hard to understand. You spend the first 10 minutes dragging a wounded friend around some alleyways, just to die repeatedly (at least until you figure out what the game is trying to tell you to do with the controller) from the first zombie you encounter. Again, I just want to shoot some zombies. If I wanted to think, I'd read a book.
Annoying cutscenes, lousy plot devices, and death upon death upon death, even at the newbie level, I sent this one back early. Linear gameplay with no way to climb except where the game demands it, camera angles that swing around at the drop of a hat, and a total lack of ammunition drops made this game tedious at best. Poor use of cinematics, and checkpoints in areas where you couldn't even get up to go to the fridge.
All the scenery was in shades of grey and black, and things that look like they should be usable are not. Stupid skill point usage, and boring story.
The co-op did work seamlessly, but the actual co-op feel was only useful when opening doors.
Giving it a 2 for the fact that it did run without choppyness, and the co-op worked.
