Despite some more negative reviews, I think Resident Evil 6 is a pretty good game. For all that Resident Evil has become more like an action shooter than a survival horror game, the controls are tight enough to support the game-play. This title has a lot of gaming aspects, from melee to shooting, chase scenes, interactive cut-scenes, driving, and even piloting a jet, while providing a control system that I feel works.
My only major complaint with Resident Evil 6 is that it can be somewhat frustrating at times. Usually when you're trying to figure out one of the nigh-on convoluted puzzles and getting murdered by a sometimes seemingly endless barrages of mutating freaks. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy the action of killing B.O.W.'s as much as the next guy, but I wouldn't mind seeing a return to the survival horror atmosphere that spawned the genre. Wherein Silent Hill has always maintained the upper hand in horror, Resident Evil has always provided a more technically sound and aesthetically pleasing game. Suffice to say I have no issues with the graphics or controls.
Another aspect of the game that I enjoy is the Co-Op and multiplayer. If your spouse is also a gamer, it can be a lot of fun to partner together and take down some zombies. Though one must be careful not to argue too much either, especially when it becomes frustrating, lol. If you don't want a local partner, you can always log on to the network, and online players can join you on your campaign. That's something I find very cool. Essentially you and a friend, when working in perfect harmony, can lay waste to Neo-Umbrella and all their monsters. There may be a bit of a learning curve, but once you get it down, not much can stand in the way of some of the series' main protagonists, as you play through each of their scenerios, which include Leon, Chris, Jake, and Ada. The game may not be perfect, but it does provide comprehensive gameplay for the survival horror aspects it presents, all while looking grea
