Resident Evil 6 really doesn't know what game it wants to be. Action-Shooter, Survival-Horror, it's all of these things, a jack of all trades if you will, but it does none of them well at all.
The camera is often terrible, the controls are clunky(which you should expect from an RE game), and the control scheme is so convoluted the developers don't even bother explaining it to you. Oh and before you say, "LOOK at the loading screens!", i hope you realize how lazy that is on the developers end; there should be a manual for this game, or at least a proper tutorial but neither exist for this game.
The story is garbage, but who expects a great story from a RE game? It's all about tension and atmosphere, all the things that this game is severely lacking in. Resident Evil 4 obviously nailed that and RE 5 at least drew you in because of it; in RE 6 you pretty much have explosions and QTEs in place of all the moments that genuinely made the previous games tense and scary.
This game is pretty much a low grade blockbuster shooter knockoff; It doesn't control or play nearly as well as top third person shooters like Gears of War or Uncharted, but it tries to be those games and fails miserably. It's a regurgitation and recycling of all the "AAA" blockbusters that came out this generation, with all the production value but none of the soul or solid mechanics behind it.
If you're a DIEHARD resident evil fan and just want to see what Leon, Chris, and the gang are up to and/or if you're not to bothered by clunky controls and a terrible camera, go ahead and rent this game. However, i would not recommend spending 60 bucks on this game, this is a 20 dollar bargain bin title at best.
