This was like meeting your best friend after not seeing him in a couple of years and to me that is a good thing why would you take one of the best games of all time and totally overhaul it in the next installment. The controls are similar but honestly feel a little tighter and more responsive than before. The level design and pieces seemed to have moved from Europe to Africa so busting a barrel and shooting down gems will feel the same. And of course the graphics are a lot better than before and I suspect maybe why a lot more scenes were in the daylight to show the details of the game. My only complaint is how useless Sheva is in AI, honestly she is the most worthless AI charecter since Dom from the first Gears and she is probably worse. She will literally stand there facing enemies and for some reason not shoot them.
this is a great game you still cant walk and shoot but it is overall game of the year it is just all out bad aZZ fun playing with your friends and killing zombies and upgrading your weapons is a great the best thing about this game the best game out this year

Well I was upset the first 3 times this game pushed back its release date (21 months), but what has come of that is a work or art, and I picked up my copy at 12:01am release day! I am going to break down the 'great' and the 'just good' (no bad) for a change this time. (i am not a reviewer that EVER gives out 10s, in fact the best I've given before this is 8.
Great: Graphics are arguably the best so far this gen, enemy AI is very tactful and reactive, story helps tie in RE 1-4, setting (RE 5 is in AFRICA!!), new inventory system means you and your partner(Sheva which is there through the entire game)can swap items and store more because you each have your own inventory , new buy/upgrade system (now purchases/upgrades are available before every level and after overtime you die!), The Co-op is great on or offline and is a "drop in" "drop out" anytime theme (much like gears of war 1-2), Boss battles are huge, tactical and epic, Partner AI in single player campaign is actually helpful and proactive (she will pick up ammo, knock enemies off of you and even heal you if your health is getting low.
Just Good: Is much easier than RE 4 unless on higher difficulty setting (normal mode is set to not frustrate "casual gamers", Sometimes (not often at all) Sheva shoots you if you are between her and enemies. It doesn't hurt you but sometimes you wish she would wait till you move because she is wasting allot of ammo in the back of your head.
All in all This game is worth buying for anyone who even remotely liked RE 4 or action/survival/horror games. If you never played RE 4 rent this, try it, but I bet you will buy it after. My biggest fear right now is that my Xbox will RROD on me before my SECOND play through LOL.
