What can I say? Wow. This is a fantastic game. I never played the original GC or PS2 versions, but although the game's graphics haven't been updated since the GC version, it still looks beautiful. The addition of the PS2 extras can only mean good results.
Again, having not played the original traditional controller versions, I can't comment on the difference. I can only say that the use of the Wii Remote is excellent for the purpose of aiming. I wouldn't change a thing about it.
On the other hand, using it to reload is kind of silly. It's no simpler or easier at all, really. In addition, the quick swipe is good, but doesn't work 100% of the time. It's about 90%, but that 10% can be a big deal when close combat comes up...
I'd definitely recommend this, and honestly, $30 is not a lot for a game like this. Especially if you only pay $25, from GameFly. Definite rent, most likely worth buying unless gore is not for you. (Decapitations and exploding heads are quite graphic)
Takes a second to get use to the aiming but is so fun...RE4 makes me jump out of my seat every now and then...pretty freaky game..i had so much confidence in this game i didn't even rent it...just bought it and it didn't let me down..this is a must get game and for such a good price :)
Yes, this game came out on the gamecube a long time ago; but that doesn't change the fact that it's an excellent game. The only things that sets this apart from the GC version are the fact that it's widescreen and the implementation of wiimote control.
If you've never played Resident Evil 4, this is well worth the money, especially since it's a reduced-price game.
