Resident Evil 4 for PlayStation 2 Reviews by Gamers

This game was awesome! At first i was upset that it was only for the gamecube and all i had was a PS2. But when i figured that out i got so excited. It was probably the easiest Resident Evil ever. The extras were really cool too. The only down fall is the graphics compared to the gamecube. But other wise it was one of the best games i've ever played.

here's why this game is great.
it feels almost real. The over the shoulder view is so perfect that I almost can't stand it.
You will actually find yourself physically moving your head around to look up and down and around corners. The mood is dead on. You will feel alone and isolated through much of the game and will be glad when Ashley is around because you feel like you have a companion. And the first time you come across a regenerator without the scope to snipe the parasites will leave you in hysterics.
The graphics are the best ever on the PS2 and the sound is very key to the mood.
The only negative things I can say are so minor they almost seem trivial.
I wish you didn't need to use the menu so much and that you could use herbs and switch weapons in game. Also the whole ridding yourself and Ashley of the parasites seemed a little rushed and it would have been cool to put a mini boss fight in there while Leon was helpless in the chair or something. A little bit of Ashley protecting Leon for a change. Oh well, maybe some other time. By the way, buy this game.
