Simply put, this game is what I imagined Wii Motion Plus would be like. Sure Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10 was cool... but a sword play game has it beat. Just gotta wait for the first Star Wars game to come out.
Anyways, on to my review:
First off, I am on the second chapter with about 3 hours invested thus far. It looks as if there are 6-8 chapters (sections of a city) so overall game time play is looking great!
Missions: So far, despite the games attempt to illusion "choice" in missions and add a basic RPG element where you upgrade your weapons/moves/stats/etc., the game is so far pretty linear. You get a mission and then do the mission. The city that your missions are in is seeming huge with numerous doors and paths. However, they tend to double back on one another and interconnect so it is relatively difficult to get lost or loose your objective. The color coding on the map marks doors as green (you can pass through and have not yet), blue (you can pass through and have already passed through), and red (locked). So basically, you access your next mission and low and behold, a door that was red is now green! Guess what... thats the way to your next objective.
Combat & Wii Motion Plus: It is fun and accurate... never did I have my sword do something I did not want it to (aside from user error). The action and combat is fun and fast paced mixed in with sword and gun play.
Overall: This may very well be the first game that Gamefly does not get back. I am hovering over the keep button as I type.
